It is the week of April 11 to 15 and I am in the sweetest little grade 2-3 classroom. I have to admit that there are only 15 students in this class and there is no EA support.
- Morning Attendance – have the students take the attendance as a morning job. Enter into a weekly table in a duotang. This teacher added in a “Would you rather question” for each day of the week as well! I bet if you combined the student responsibility with a class dojo, you would have a winning combination.
- Soap Train – Have the students pump the soap into their hands and then walk around the classroom as they rub the soap into their hands before rinsing their hands clean and drying, Super quick and effective before snack and lunch,
- Let young student sit on top of their desk during a lesson for fun and a change! (This was observed during an SEL lesson by the Counsellor.)
